Licensing Application Notice Inspections

When applying for permission to open certain types of premises, there is a legal requirement to display a notice which is visible to members of the public who are passing the property. These notices are provided in a prescribed form as set out by the relevant laws and regulations applicable to that type of activity.

It is essential that these notices are visible at all times to ensure compliance with the regulations. As such Herdens will display your licensing notice for you and will check it regularly to ensure that it is still on display and has not been damaged, vandalised or covered up, which could invalidate the application.

Once the notice period is completed, the agent of Herdens responsible for checking the notice will complete a written statement or sworn affidavit if required, detailing the times of visits to the site to check the notice and any actions carried out to replace the notice or otherwise ensure that it is visible.
