Gambling Premises Licence Application Notice Inspections

Under section 160 of the Gambling Act 2005 there is a requirement to advertise a gambling premises licence application, by displaying a notice on or near to the premises to be licensed, which is visible to passing members of the public. Statutory Instrument 2007 no. 459 prescribes that the notice must be in place for at least 28 consecutive days.

Should you have need to display a gambling premises licence application notice, Herdens will be happy to carry this out for you.

An agent of Herdens will display the notice as directed and will visit the site everyday for 28 days to check that the notice is still visible and has not been damaged, vandalised or covered up.

Once the notice period has been completed the Herdens Agent will complete a written statement or if required, swear an affidavit stating the times of their visits and any actions that were necessary to ensure that the application notice was still visible.

To discuss the display and checking of your gambling premises licensing application notices further, then please contact Herdens.
